Me and Jeff Bridges

Jeff Bridges is my virtual stalker boyfriend.  I’ve run into Jeff Bridges in the following parts of our media world in the last 48 hours:

1. WNYC’s Studio 360 podcast

2. NPR Fresh Air Podcast

3. Stephen Colbert’s “The Colbert Report” on Comedy Central

4. Now even the local NPR station, KQED, is tweeting about a giveaway for tickets to the concert at the local auditorium here in Marin.

My conclusion:  Jeff Bridges is my secret stalker – he may have been married forever unlike most Hollywood types, but clearly he is after my entertainment dollars me.  And don’t say otherwise!

Here at Poxfading Central, the effects of the chicken pox linger. My doctor says I continue to need to rest, which is gonna be harder this weekend because I have actual work scheduled.  I will do what I can to rest afterwards.  Very frustrating.

I’m so sorry you had to go through all that! I’m thinking the doctors just don’t often enough come across adults who haven’t had chicken pox and don’t think of offering the vaccine.

My kids got chicken pox starting with the last day of school in June, getting it one by one and finally ending just before school started again. The summer of doom. And if you get it before you’re six months old, you can get it twice–happened to two of mine.

Ah, that does sound like the summer of doom. I did raise the chicken pox vaccine issue with my doctor yesterday, and she said that they had two more cases of adults after me, so they were going to start checking on this with all their adult patients. Apparently in my county, many parents are foregoing the vaccine for their children, which means us adults who haven’t had it are vulnerable.
