I’ve had these cute little balls of singles: And they turned into these two lovely skeins: It’s two ounces of BFL from A Verb for Keeping Warm. What shall I knit? Suggestions welcome! ← Cable Connections → Total Depravity and the like 4 replies on “A little more spinning” It’s really pretty. I like the two colors plied. How did you ply them (spindle?)? And what weight-ish is it? Fingerless gloves, maybe? I plied them with a spindle (don’t own a wheel), and the weight is chunky/bulky. I was hoping I had enough for a hat, but I’m a little short I think. I only have a spindle, and am a new spindler. Plying with a spindle will be my next new trick to learn! I have a free pattern on my blog for chunky piano mitts; that might work out for your yarn if you’re interested. It’s a little tricky to ply, but not as bad as making the singles, at least for me. I’ll check out your pattern. I also have the Maine Morning Mitts pattern — one of them should work! Leave a Reply Cancel replyYour email address will not be published.
